About Yasmeen Zainal
Yasmeen is a Clinical Embryologist at Child Fertility, who also worked to establish the centre’s design and protocols for regulatory compliance in Saudi Arabia.
With her Crown Prince International Scholarship from Bahrain, she graduated with a Masters in Clinical Embryology from the University of Oxford, MSc in Reproductive Science & Women’s Health, and BSc in Human Sciences at UCL.
Her UK research covered surgical sperm retrieval rates in non-mosaic Klinefelter syndrome; sperm concentration thresholds for Y-chromosome microdeletion testing; and molecular viability of cryopreserved pre-pubertal testicular tissue, to help young cancer patients.
She trained, worked, and contributed to the licensing and accreditation of the IVF centre at King Hamad University Hospital in Bahrain, where she also gave lectures to help develop staff and student knowledge.
